A LETTER FOR DAVID FROM A FAN IN ISRAEL - VERY TOUCHING!!!
(This letter was translated from Israel into English)
Dear David,
I don't know if my letter will be sent to you, but I don't care. I'm now writing with my pen, and actually with my heart too. I just want to say I am a big fan of yours and you are a amazing. I bet everyday you go out everyone always screams your name and says: "David, I love you". But I won't say that. Because you are far more special than that.
I live in a country which has no peace, everyday I hear the noise of the bombs, the dead people on the streets, and sadly, so far I've lost 3 friends of mine because of the war. Although I live in an environment which is full of danger, I still hope someday I'll see the lights. And you are, luckily, those lights. You know what, I've never had a chance to go to school like other children in other countries, whom I heard that sometimes moan and groan about studying. I really want to know how that feels, but I know I never will.
David, your music is awesome. Although I can't understand the whole songs, I still can feel that you put your soul and your heart in those songs. The melodies of your songs are like the lullaby of my mom, who was dead couple weeks ago in our refugees camp because of Lupus. Your music heals me and helps me believe that this life is not worthless, but full of hopes. One day when I saw your picture, I said to myself: "Oh Lord, he is an angel." Yes, you are. Your eyes are like pearls that are shining, your skin is like silk and your voice is like angel's voice. But I love your smile, when you smile, your eyes smile too. Those smiles of yours brightened my day and led me to wiser thoughts. I wish I could have your memoir, but I don't even have money to buy it. It would be really nice to read all the lines that my idol wrote. But it's okay, I was born here and that's what I get.
I don't know if I will be alive for long, however, right now, you already save me from the bottom. You do have wings, angel. We are moving to a new refugee camp tomorrow so you can never write me back. Wish I had an address. Okay, I just hope you're doing a great job, keep up with the great work and never lose those smiles.
Your fan,
Tanyania Samek
Note: This letter was written couple weeks ago, and she was right, she would never receive David's reply, because they found her dead 5 days ago in Tel Aviv after she had been accidentally shot by a soldier. This letter was found in her camp. I've just discovered this from one of his fanpages and they said that the letter was brought to David when he did teh book signing in Minnesota. Isn't it so sad? Poor her.
